A Research-Based Approach to Long-Term Brain Health – the Cognitive Therapeutics Method™
The Cognitive Therapeutics Method™ is a brain health program developed by researchers at Home Care Assistance. An extension of our Balanced Care Method™, Cognitive therapeutics aims to improve quality of life through the incorporation of personalised, one-on-one activities that engage the main cognitive domains of the brain.
Not only targeting memory, the method also engages other cognitive functions including executive functioning, attention, language, and visual spatial domains. The Cognitive Therapeutics Method™ is based on scientific research, led by a neuropsychologist, that highlights non- pharmacological activity and lifestyle intervention as an effective way to promote long-term brain health.
At Home Care Assistance South East Melbourne, the Cognitive Therapeutics Method is a natural and routinely employed complement to our Balanced Care Method™. We see it as a key part of our multi-pronged approach to healthy ageing, specifically focused on the brain, enabling us to extend healthy years and help each person achieve health and meaningfulness in longevity.
Here is what one of our families told us about their experience:
I have been suffering from Parkinson’s for 18 years now. After my fractured hip, I was low in confidence. Home Care Assistance, South East Melbourne’s carers have been really patient with me. They helped to improve my confidence and now I can walk to the local shops. The stress on my wife has also reduced.
